Jorge comes to Presidio with a wide range of experience in the public and private sectors. He served as senior field representative for the California State Legislature where he was responsible for handling a wide variety of issues, including public safety, water, elections, sports arts and entertainment, and housing.
In 2013, Jorge was elected to the Covina City Council; he had the honor of serving two terms as Mayor. In 2017, he was selected Chairman of the San Gabriel Basin Water Quality Authority which oversaw groundwater quality management programs to remediate groundwater contamination and assist in preventing future contamination efficiently. He also served as Regional Councilmember for the 33rd District for the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) and as Chairman of SCAG’s Community, Economic and Human Development Committee.
Jorge is active in the real estate industry as a licensed agent and currently sits on a mutual water company’s board of directors.
Jorge lives in the San Gabriel Valley with his wife, Alma, and young daughter.
